THERAPY

An example of the different treatments.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a movement-based treatment guided by principles of physiology and pathology, using specific therapeutic techniques to support the development, maintenance, or restoration of physical functions.
Complementary methods include, for example, dry needling, taping, and treatments using ultrasound or shockwave therapy.

Continence Therapy (Tanzberger-Konzept®)

Continence therapy is a physiotherapeutic treatment program designed to strengthen and coordinate the pelvic floor and surrounding muscle groups. It is primarily used for pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, and after surgeries in the pelvic area. Through targeted movement and breathing exercises, it helps improve body awareness, posture, and functional stability.

Manual Therapy (MT)

Manual therapy is a treatment method in which functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system are tested and corrected. Both passive techniques (to mobilise/manipulate blocked joints or joints with restricted movement) and active exercises to stabilise the joints are used.

Foot reflexology (Hanne-Marquardt-Fußreflex®)

Foot reflexology is a manual treatment method that involves stimulating specific pressure points on the feet. These zones are connected to various organs and areas of the body via reflexes. The treatment can stimulate blood circulation and metabolism and relieve tension and pain.

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD)

Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle massage technique using rhythmic, flowing movements to support the drainage of lymph fluid in the tissues. It is primarily used to reduce swelling (edema), promote the removal of metabolic waste and toxins, and improve tissue regeneration. Additionally, the treatment can alleviate pain, stimulate circulation, and strengthen the immune system by supporting the body’s natural detoxification and healing processes.

Craniomandibular dysfunctions (CMD)

CMD generally describes functional disorders of the temporomandibular joint, such as pain in the masticatory muscles, problems opening the mouth, “clicking” or friction and pain in the temporomandibular joint. These problems can be treated using precise manual techniques.

Therapeutic massage for women

The Therapeutic Women’s Massage is a gentle, holistic treatment method based on the principles of lymphatic drainage and hormonal balance. Through targeted, rhythmic massage techniques, it supports blood circulation, lymph flow, and hormonal regulation. It can have a soothing and regulatory effect for cycle-related complaints, endometriosis, fertility support, or hormonal imbalances. Additionally, it can be used to support women during pregnancy.

Manual treatment concept for children (0–4 years)

An examination of infants and children (up to the age of 4) and their treatment with manual therapy techniques for disorders of early childhood development.
Note: This examination does not replace the newborn screening programme and treatment should be discussed with a paediatrician in advance.
